Bent Lodge - Traveling Gavel

Bent Lodge #42 acquires New Mexico's Traveling GavelMaster Dan Irick & Master Marty Jagers from Union Lodge #4.

The New Mexico State Traveling Gavel was in the possession of Union Lodge #4, having obtained it after a visit to Sandia Mountain Lodge #72 in Albuquerque, until six Brethren from Bent Lodge #42 in Taos paid a visit to Union Lodge in Wagon Mound on Tuesday, May 17th, 2011 and claimed the traveling gavel.

It was a night with a full moon when the Brothers of Union Lodge hosted the Taos Brethren, led by Master WB Marty Jagers, who was accompanied by SW Jed Noble, SD Dave Cordova, SS Keith McIntosh, Chaplain Peter Kunkel and Brother Noah Shapiro, to a fine hamburger dinner. In all, 17 Master Masons were present for the meeting and the sharing of the history and friendliness of Union Lodge.

The Brethren of Taos' Bent Lodge would like to compliment and thank the Brothers of Wagon Mound's Union Lodge for the warm and friendly reception and the good food and would like to extend an invitation to all the members of Union Lodge to Bent Lodge.
