Joshua B. Lightle
Josh is a native New Mexican born in Albuquerque. At the age of 9 he relocated to Farmington with his family, where he enjoyed playing football and outdoor activities such as fishing. He began his Masonic career at the age of thirteen when, by a fluke, he joined DeMolay. He went on to serve as Master Councilor of James H. Gibson Chapter in Farmington, and eventually as State Master Councilor for New Mexico.
In early 1994 at the age of nineteen, he joined Animas Lodge #15. Later that same year, he moved back to Albuquerque. During this time he also affiliated with Temple Lodge #6, where he ultimately served as Master in 2004. In 2000 he began working as a sales rep for Frito Lay, and in 2001 he married his sweetheart Heather. They now have two young sons, who keep life nothing short of interesting. In 2005 he served as District Deputy Grand Master for the 6th Masonic District under MW G. Wayne Morrison. He also began serving as Chairman of the Jurisprudence Committee for the Grand Lodge, a position he held for three consecutive years. In 2007 he was appointed Junior Grand Deacon by MW Arthur D. Tunnell and began his progression in the Grand Lodge line.
Josh’s current affiliations are: the A&ASR in the Valley of Santa Fe, where he received the KCCH in 2009; the Albuquerque York Rite Bodies where he served as Commander of Pilgrim Commandery #3; Ballut Abyad Shrine and is Director Emeritus for the Ritual Staff. Other Masonic affiliations include: Past Sovereign Master in the Allied Masonic Degrees, Past Excellent Chief for Knight Masons, and Past Puissant Sovereign in the Red Cross of Constantine. Honors received include the DeMolay Chevalier and the Active Legion of Honor, as well as the Rainbow Grand Cross of Color.
